GENERAL NOTARY QUESTIONS
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID). Your documents must be completed but not signed before the appointment.
How much does a notarization cost?
Missouri law sets the fee at $5 per notarized signature. Mobile, RON, fingerprinting, and apostille services may include additional service or travel fees.
Do all signers need to be present?
Yes. All signers must be physically present with valid ID at the time of notarization, unless using Remote Online Notarization (RON).
Can you notarize documents for minors?
Minors can be notarized, but they must be able to understand what they are signing. A valid ID or identification method is required.
Can you notarize documents that are already signed?
No. All signatures must be made in front of the notary unless the document specifies acknowledgment rules.
IN-OFFICE & MOBILE SERVICES
Do you accept walk-ins?
Appointments are preferred to guarantee availability. Walk-ins may be accepted when the notary is on site and not assisting another customer.
How far will you travel?
We travel up to 1 hour from St. Louis County, charged at $0.67 per mile (2025 IRS mileage rate).
Is the mobile travel fee refundable?
Mobile fees become non-refundable once travel begins.
Can multiple people be notarized during one mobile visit?
Yes. Each signature is $5, with one travel fee per appointment.
REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION (RON)
What is Remote Online Notarization?
RON allows your document to be notarized online using secure identity verification and a live audio-video session.
Do I need special software?
No. You will receive a link to the approved platform once your RON appointment is confirmed.
Can I use RON if I am not in Missouri?
For Missouri RON, you must be physically located in Missouri during the notarization session.
FINGERPRINTING SERVICES
What type of fingerprinting do you provide?
We offer ink-based fingerprinting on FD-258 and standard fingerprint cards.
Do you provide mobile fingerprinting?
Yes — mobile appointments are available within 1 hour of St. Louis County. Mileage fees apply.
Do you supply fingerprint cards?
Yes, we provide FD-258 and standard cards unless your agency requires you to bring your own.
How long does the fingerprinting appointment take?
Most sessions take 10–15 minutes per card.
APOSTILLE & AUTHENTICATION
What is an apostille?
An apostille certifies a document for use in countries that are part of the Hague Convention.
What is authentication?
This is similar to an apostille but used for countries not part of the Hague Convention. It may require multiple steps.
Do you submit documents for me?
Yes. We prepare, package, and deliver documents to the Missouri Secretary of State or mail them to federal agencies as needed.
How long does processing take?
State and federal processing times vary. Expedited options may be available for an additional fee.
BUSINESS & REAL ESTATE SERVICES
Do you work with real estate agents and title companies?
Yes. We offer Transaction Coordination (TC), Listing Management, Loan Signing (coming soon), and appointment-based document support.
Do you offer corporate contracts or retainers?
Yes. We offer monthly corporate notary retainers for businesses needing recurring paperwork support.
Do you offer on-site team notarization?
Yes. We can attend onboarding days, contractor signings, or corporate events. A 2-hour minimum applies.
POLICIES & PAYMENT
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and direct payment during in-office or mobile appointments.
Do you require payment upfront?
Yes, most appointments require a deposit or full payment to secure your time slot.
What is your cancellation policy?
• 24+ hours: Full refund
• Under 24 hours: 50% refund
• No-shows: No refund
• Mobile fees become non-refundable once travel begins
Are digital products refundable?
No. Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Do I need to fill out the document first?
Yes, all fields should be completed — just don’t sign until you’re with the notary.
What if my ID doesn’t match my document?
We can usually still notarize the signature as long as you can be properly identified, but the document recipient may reject mismatched names. Always check their requirements first.
What if I’m unsure what type of notarization I need?
We can help you determine whether you need an acknowledgment, jurat, copy certification, POA notarization, witness signatures, or RON.
